An unofficial tradition turned official. We will be awarding the team with the best costume.
The Al Whitson Memorial Scholarship is given to two Redondo Union High School student-athletes that embodied the Al Whitson spirit. These student-athletes demonstrate hard-work, humility, team work and sacrifice.
More donations means a bigger scholarship and better tournament!

Once a year we gather to celebrate the life of a great man, Alan Whitson. We celebrate by playing the beautiful game of Holey Board. Holey Board became a way for those mourning to remember his love, care, and drinks shared. The tournament is meant to celebrate Al with a game that he loved. The Whitson family welcomes all to join - whether you met Al or know someone who did - to compete in the Al Whitson Memorial Holey Board Tournament. Most people don’t know this, but Al used to whoop George and Harry in Holey Board.
